PMC-100 Series FAQ
Q. What is the difference between the PMC and PMP series?
A. The PMC series synchronizes directly with Windows Media Player 10 jukebox for all media transfers (Music / Video / Pictures / TV Shows / etc). This allows you to use one application for all files you wish to transfer to your Player, making the transferring process much more robust, faster, and simple.
The PMC also offers the ability to play back secure files (DRM.WMA) purchased from online websites such as Napster, Wal-Mart, etc. Downloading TV Shows, Movie clips, Music Videos from Windows Media Player's Guide Center can all be downloaded to a PMC, ready for playback.
The PMP does not have these features.
Q: Can the PMC record video?
A: The PMC does not offer the ability to record Voice / Radio / Video. The PMC plays back MP3 / WMA / DRM.WMA files along with WMV videos. Other file types can be converted into one of these formats within Windows Media Player for transferring to the PMC.
Q: Is the PMC compatible with music that I buy online?
A: The PMC can play secure music (DRM WMA files) that most online services provide. If the service you are purchasing from uses non-secure MP3 files, then they will play normally on the PMC. (iTunes files (AAC) are not supported by the PMC series.)
Q. Does the PMC series offer "USB On The Go"?
A. The PMC does not offer USB On The Go.
