Windows 98SE Driver for iGP-100

Please note that for Windows Me, 2000, XP, and Mac OS users, the iGP does not require a driver, the player will appear as a new drive on your system automatically. The following instructions do not apply to operating systems other than Windows 98 SE.

1. Disconnect the iGP from the USB cable

2. Download the iGP Windows 98 SE Driver from the iRiver America Support web site



3. Double click on the iGPWin98 file to unzip the driver files.


4. Click Unzip - 14 files will extract to the C:\iRiver\iGP100\Driver folder.


5. Click OK

6. Click Close to exit the WinZip Self-Extractor screen.

7. Connect your iGP-100 to the USB Cable / PC and power on the Player.

8. Windows will display a "New Hardware Found" message and begin the "Add New Hardware Wizard"

9. Click Next.


10. Choose the "Search for the best driver…" option as shown below and click Next.


11. Put a check mark next to "Specify a Location" (uncheck any of the other boxes ) then click on "Browse..."


12. Locate the C:\iRiver\iGP100\Driver folder as shown.


13. Click OK.

14. The file path will be displayed in the "Specify a Location" box, click Next.


15. Click Next.


16. Click Finish when Windows completes the driver installation process.


17. After clicking Finish several more (usually two) "New hardware found" messages will appear. These messages will not require any action, please wait for Windows to compete these processes before continuing. It should take about 1 minute.

18. Double click the My Computer icon. The iGP-100 will now appear as a drive (Drive letter will vary on some systems.)
